Primarily working with Accounts Receivable, but will also assist with other accounting functions in the department.
Apply payments, make deposits, and handle unauthorized deductions immediately.
Establishes and updates customers' credit activities.
Reviews collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures.
Audits delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account.
Report AR conditions to warehouses, sales staff, and administration staff as required or requested.
Verify/enter pricing and discounting on products to ensure sales staff as well as customers understand pricing schemes. Resolve all invoice disputes immediately, whether due to pricing, discounting, etc.
Coordinate EDI customer requests and related subjects with EDI department.
Build rapport with customers by maintaining a one-on-one relationship with the proper person in the proper department(s) to maintain credit balance with established standards.
Cross train (give and receive) to provide effective backup for other office tasks.
Process marketing purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data.
