3rd Shift Forklift Operator responsibilities include an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, as well as organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse and operating a forklift.
Arrive on time. Clock in and out appropriately and according to company policies.
Follow written and verbal instructions completely and accurately.
Meet and/or exceed minimum production standards with optimum quality in accord with business needs and expectations as set by management.
Assist with, shipping, receiving, unloading trucks and checking in product.
Verify and select parts for orders, preparing these for shipment; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
Generate required documentation.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according with company standards.
Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer.
May also assist in counting of physical inventory.
Prepare parcels for shipment.
Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times, performing responsibilities in accord with safety policies and procedures.
Wear the proper safety equipment.
Following 6S LEAN standards as these apply to the position.
Work at all times with minimum direction/supervision.
Safely use hydraulic hand jack, Powered Industrial Trucks as determined for the position, step ladders, pallet wrappers, carts, RF scanners, scales, tape dispensers, box cutters, and all safety equipment associated with this position.
Receiving, Warehouse, Shipping, Store Clerk experience.
Ability to count accurately.
Basic knowledge of mathematics (i.e. weights, counts, measures, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
Ability to read and write (English) legibly.
Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Ability to complete required documents accurately, promptly and legibly.
