JPMorgan Chase CCB Risk Product Manager VP in Wilmington, Delaware

Risk Decisions Product team provides real-time and batch decisioning across the Risk life cycle from Offer Generation, Acquisitions, Account Management through Collections utilizing Internal data, 3rd Party/External Data, Customer information and Models to maximize profit, manage risk and provide shareholder value through rapid deployment of Risk strategies in a controlled environment.

Risk Decisions product team is seeking a highly effective, motivated and innovative individual (Vice President) to lead initiatives which deliver a customer-centric Risk service to improve customer experience, enhance risk management capabilities, and maximize profit within the risk appetite. The desired candidate will partner across the business to oversee the Product Discovery process. They will also execute on an ever-evolving roadmap to drive business objectives forward by leading cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive features and experiences to market with an agile mindset that fosters teamwork and collaboration.

The role is highly visible to senior management and offers the opportunity to work across all Chase's business lines - Card, Auto, Business Banking & Home. The Product Manager in this role will help plan and execute solutions that impact the business and deliver results though implementing risk target state strategy. The successful candidate will be an entrepreneur thinker, team player, results driven and self-managing with strong attention to detail.


  • The ideal candidate will have Agile product team experience previously. The candidate will demonstrate proven skills to lead a product area in a fast paced environment covering one or more of the Risk Decision Engines.

  • Work closely with representatives from Product teams to conduct discovery, define requirements and analyze solutions

  • Facilitation and coordination of discovery sessions to understand the impacts to other products and work with those teams to ensure it is captured in JIRA

  • Help craft the approach and define the necessary work activities to achieve the business/product vision, monitor progress, report health, and address cross-team impediments

  • Own and manage cross-dependencies/business activities (commitment through execution) for end-to-end initiative across all work tracks and all team members

  • Maintain strong controls, audit requirements and initiative alignment with established practices

  • Find automation opportunities within business and IT tracks

  • They must be able to resolve conflicts while escalating and/or proactively identifying solutions and solving problems early in the project process. This individual must be able to ensure priorities and deadlines are achieved and communicated effectively with various levels of stakeholders and management.

  • Present recommendations in a business-friendly way that identifies any issues, details business/client impact, and builds a business case and consensus for implementation

  • Experience working with and influencing senior management to drive strategic decisions through conducting complex analysis, developing concise recommendations and preparing and delivering well designed presentations a plus


  • Bachelor's degree required, technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.) preferred

  • 7+ year experience in analytical or technical capacity (Technology, Business Analysis, Product Development, Business Architect etc.)

  • Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of business

  • Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.

  • Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to work well in cross-functional teams

  • Ability to partner across various disciplines and levels of technical knowledge

  • Ability to work in an environment of strong risk and controls

  • Previous experience as a Business Architect preferred

  • Be comfortable with abstract ideas, conflicts and ability to forge a path ahead - Ability to develop ideas into defined projects and building business cases

  • Proven leader with demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions, take accountability for those decisions while candidly challenging the status quo to drive positive business outcomes

  • Experience in the following areas preferred: Resource Management; Business Analysis - translate to Requirements; Problem Solving; Conflict Resolution.
