The role you’ll contribute:

The EMS dispatch supervisor is responsible for the overall daily operations of the dispatch center. The dispatch supervisor is responsible for ensuring that team member function seamlessly to effectively and efficiently manage the flow of transport requests from each of the facilities in the WFD. This includes coordination between the divisional transfer center, private and public EMS agencies to ensure timely and effectiveness of transfer. The supervisor is responsible to oversee that dispatchers assigns drivers and vehicles to convey freight or passengers. Constant Interaction with transporters and EMS personnel, which will provide closer, more effective means of monitoring of productivity, key issues and concerns.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Supervises 2-4 dispatchers per shift, manages shift start and off times.

  • Responsible for scheduling of the dispatchers

  • Responsible for ensuring company policies and procedures are followed

  • Supervises Staff to ensure proper assignment of ambulances to ambulance request

  • Ensures appropriateness of Emergency, Non-Emergency, STAT, and Routine ambulance responses.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a related field upon hire

  • Florida License EMT

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification or RQI within 2 weeks of hire date

  • Current unrestricted Florida Driver’s License upon hire

  • 8 hours of Hip & Knee replacement/Spine Education required within 6 months of hire date, then annually

  • 8 hours Stroke Education required within 6 months of hire date, then annually
