The Lab Operations team owns the business process for enterprise lab automation systems and the implementation and post-implementation support across the Catalent Business Units and sites. The team partners with Information Technology (IT) to establish and define the user requirements for deployment of the lab automation solutions. A key focus is continual improvement to support the growth of the business, improve operating efficiencies and influence decisions regarding business process changes and capital investments of laboratory systems and equipment

The primary responsibilities of this position are to support lab network standardization, create templates and training for enterprise lab automation systems, and provide the implementation and post-implementation support across the Catalent Business Units and sites. The role works collaboratively with the global deployment team and the local business to implement and manage solutions that meet the business need.

Location: Remote, based in the US

The Role

  • Represents global business (labs) on cross-functional implementation teams responsible for deployment and user training of lab automation systems (for example, LIMS, CDS, ELN, and SDMS)

  • Conduct system demos/walkthroughs as required to business and/or project resources

  • Creates global deployment templates to provides standard playbook

  • Owns and authors business related enterprise lab automation system SOPs

  • Reviews enterprise lab automation system related SOPs and other GxP documents for completeness and compliance

  • Coordinates corporate training for end users of enterprise lab automation systems

  • Provides support to establish local training programs for enterprise lab automation systems

  • Authors compliance records as needed in Trackwise, and supports IT on change control as needed

The Candidate

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or other related field

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in Quality Control laboratories in a regulated environment

  • 2+ years of experience supporting lab automation projects

  • Experience implementing LIMS (e.g., LabVantage) and Chromatography (e.g., Empower) solutions in a global environment is preferred
