Actalent Architectural Designer in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description:

  • An international architecture, interior design and planning firm headquartered in Washington DC

  • Projects are overseas diplomatic facilities

  • Assist in space planning efforts from the suite level to the entire building

  • Support the creation of construction documents from floor plans to details to schedules

  • Support construction administration efforts though RFI and submittal reviews

  • Address comments from the owner, contractor, consultant, or from colleagues

  • Assist in maintaining the design intent through collaboration with engineering consultants

  • Code research and analysis

  • Product research and manufacturer collaboration

  • Support in the creation of content for design reports and presentations

  • Breakdown

  • 85% Producing Construction Docs in Revit

  • 15% Coordinating w/ Subs and Internal Design Team, Internal Planning Mtg

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Architectural degree (Required). Professional degree (Preferred).

  • 5-7 years of architecture experience.

  • Experience producing Construction Documents: Size100K - 1Mil Sq Ft (Typically 1-500K)

  • Proficient in Revit

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, InDesign, Photoshop, Bluebeam, Rhino, Grasshopper, Sketchup, Enscape or Dinamo are all a plus

  • LEED Accredited (a plus)
