The team you will be a part of

The Finance General team manages the planning and direction of finance process and activities. Activities include the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs.

This role in summary

As a Finance Manager - Central Europe, You will provide added value leadership to the Market whilst ensuring the integrity of both the Balance Sheet and the P&L of the respective Country. Provide regular and accurate forecasts/analyses to management with input from sales and marketing in the NSO. Directly manage and develop the Finance Department for the EMEA NSO. Ensure compliance with all processes and no risks.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Manage the overall financial planning process of the respective cluster, managing multiple interactions at country and cluster level

  • Ensure the accurate and timely coordination and execution of all financial planning processes (i.e. budget, rolling forecasts) in all the Countries

  • Define and monitor the expected economic/financial targets in a prompt and timely manner in collaboration with cluster and country managers of the organization

  • Support the business and the finance team in defining the strategy and set of actions recommended to improve financial performance and exploit opportunities

  • Share with the business leaders and the finance central team prompt and timely explanation of possible variances between expected and actual results on the relevant variables by comparing performance with operating plans and standards and providing specific recommendations to address the business

  • Guarantee the coherence between management and consolidated financial data at all levels of the organization

  • Ensure the timely preparation of reports and statements of the markets, in order to guarantee the respect of deadlines in planning processes as per group calendars

  • Define and monitor that all administrative processes are adequate to represent the economic and financial in compliance with the internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations (i.e. SOX)

  • Recommend corrective actions to the existing procedures based on the risks assessment

  • Ensure roll-out and alignment on the accounting policies

  • Promote the preparation of new procedures when needed, involving and supporting the respective Finance teams

  • Organize, maintain and update the control framework and related documentations

  • Facilitate the accurate and timely exchange of information between controllers, central finance team, and SSC

  • Champion and ensure the proper application of the accounting rules, procedures, and laws/regulations both at the regional and local level

  • Manage multiple relations - Finance team (HQ, SSC) and Business

  • Manage own organization and succession planning

  • Manage and execute HR processes ensuring their implementation for his/her own population

  • Support talent management process (selection, development, and career path) to provide leadership and mentorship to the entire team

  • Ensure team spirit, good team-working environment, conflict negotiation, individual and group communication

  • Ensure communication of vision and strategy for his/her area of responsibility above and below within the organization

Minimum requirements

  • Master degree in Finance/Accounting or related field

  • 6+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting

  • Currently covering a managerial role with people management experience

  • Fluent English

  • High ethics and integrity behavior

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

  • SAP knowledge or other ERP system

  • Strong organization and communication skills

  • Ability to quickly build strong rapport and relationships
