Leidos Network Administrators and Engineers (All Levels) in Warner Robins, Georgia
Leidos is building a foundational team to support a developing U.S. Air Force contract that will transform Information Technology support to Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance industry tools. Our team needs experienced Network Management professionals at all levels to help develop, implement, maintain and protect a streamlined, open architecture support model. This opening is for Network Managers, Network Administrators, Network Infrastructure Managers, and Network Technicians.
Responsible for management, deployment, testing, and troubleshooting of wired and optical LANs. Conducts Network Monitoring and Bandwidth Management.
Plans, implements, and operates network services/systems, to include hardware and virtual environments. Protects the network, and thus the devices and data, by defining and implementing network security policies and procedures. Sets up firewalls, guards, gateway, etc., and adds authentication to all network devices. Determines the best methods to isolate/restrict what devices and users can and cannot do on the network. Performs quality control checks to ensure integrity and reliability of the Network & Security systems, tools, and products.
The network manager provides architecture management and data traffic routing for classified data on a specialized defense Wide Area Network (WAN) and its components which include data streams from imagery collection points and platforms. Detects network faults and initiates troubleshooting and restoral actions for network circuits, trunks and equipment. Conducts fault management to detect, isolate, and correct abnormal network and information processing system component anomalies.
Establish system performance parameters and sample critical network and information processing. Conduct network trend analysis and create reports and graphs monthly. Sort and file network traffic based on source and destination internet protocol (IP) addresses as needed. Establish baseline network configuration and performance parameters in support of unique ISR sensor data. Conduct network analysis to ensure performance of the network.
Establish proper data flows between enterprise nodes. Maintain network interface/port configurations, IP routing tables, firewall settings, filter tables, passwords, and performance controls. Maintain version control of the router operating system software. Establish configuration and modification of device settings.
Respond to hardware and software problems related to equipment. Coordinate with Government leads to optimize Campus Area Network (CAN) routers, switches, and cryptographic devices. Review all integration efforts to ensure engineering rigor and security practices are maintained. Process and implement all network service requests (NSR) and security approved ports and services requests (PSR).
Perform transition planning, integration, operations and maintenance (O&M) of ATM to Carrier Ethernet/OTN, to include out-of-band network management. Develop and execute OTN test plan and procedures. Review requirements to determine bandwidth, performance, and Controlled Interface (CI) settings for establishing network configuration baselines.
These positions will require, at a minimum, a High School Diploma, 3-5 years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s Preferred and relevant experience; Additional Experience and education will be required for positions of increased responsibility.
Security+ CE and IAT/IAM certifications IAW DoD Directive 8570.01
Active TS/SCI clearance
- Experience using Cisco and Microsemi Network tools including, Cisco IOS, Cisco NX-OS, and Symmetricom OS
