Hyatt General Maintenance Engineer in WAILEA, Hawaii

The Maintenance Associate performs all general residence maintenance under minimum supervision in a manner which ensures the preservation of optimum quality, guest preparedness and efficient production. Perform service requests and repairs as directed. Perform maintenance work for make-ready residences as directed. Clean and inspect residence systems and report deficiencies to supervisor.Duties may increase in scope as the employee becomes more skilled. Adhere to the company’s safety programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs basic repairs and preventive maintenance on residence and facility equipment and systems, including plumbing and limited electrical systems. Limited repairs or replacement of electrical switches, receptacles, fuses, small light fixtures, and vacuum outlets.
Inform supervisor of work to be completed by outside vendors who are licensed and bonded to perform specific high level work.
Hangs pictures, bulletin boards, cabinets.
Perform general painting and other miscellaneous work throughout the residence.
Apply general working knowledge of kitchen appliances and repair.
Complete all necessary work orders and inventory tracking and use requirements.
Possess the ability and willingness to prevent and solve problems while exhibiting a generous Aloha spirit towards guests and fellow employees.
Maintain and process necessary inventory, Purchase Orders, and invoices for accurate processing.
Promote safe work practices, conditions, and working environment.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate.
Any applicable technical licenses or degrees preferred.
One year of basic maintenance training or work- related experience
Basic knowledge of repair and replacement of general fixtures, general repair includes: doors, windows, walls, flooring, ceilings, roofs, furniture, and cabinetry.
CPR and Standard First Aid certification preferred
Ability to complete work orders
Ability to take direction and complete tasks
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize assignments
Basic computer skills preferred
Must have a Valid Hawaii Driver License
Willing and able to work varied shifts, days, and times.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the employee will frequently be asked to use body, hands and arms to reach, carry, lift, push and pull a minimum of 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
