Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN (Branch Head) in the AVAILABILITY INTEGRATION DIVISION (N60), MODERNIZATION AND INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, PORT HUENEME DIVISION Responsibilities You will serve as first level supervisor for branch personnel providing management, planning, coordination, technical direction, financial, and personnel management of a wide range of projects for multiple Surface Ship programs. You will contribute to the management of a Weapon, Combat, and Missile system multi-task organization providing test and evaluation and in-service engineering for various Navy ship classes and platforms. You will communicate continuously with mid- and senior-level leaders on technical, programmatic, financial and administrative efforts required to support products and services to Fleet and program office customers. You will ensure NSWC PHD leadership is apprised of status and concerns, in the execution of various administrative functions. You will provide oversight and mentorship of all employees in the branch to ensure technical and career development progress. You will demonstrate leadership in Command initiatives related to strategic studies, planning, and execution as a requirement of this position. You will promote the execution of NSWC PHD’s mission, goals and values and ensure planning and execution of branch tasks are in alignment with established strategic objectives. You will plan, implement, manage and control major aspects of a critical program for NAVSEA Installation and Modernization programs. You will utilize your knowledge of Combat Systems principles and concepts and complex project management to support planning and executional oversight of major weapons systems and ship platform combat systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading or executing electrical engineering projects to resolve technical issues and improve processes in modernization, systems engineering, test and evaluation programs to optimize shipboard and combat systems. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. The salary range shown in the announcement represents all of the positions within the band. This is a High Grade position.
