Evaluation of underwriting documents; including but not limited to: re-verification of those documents and data integrity review for loans underwritten with any AUS system.
Communicate effectively with investors and internal staff to resolve underwriting and processing deficiencies and cure regulatory issues.
Negotiate and perform investor rebuttals as appropriated by audit findings.
Ensure loan files were underwritten in compliance with agency and investor guidelines, applicable federal and state laws, and internal policies and procedures.
Complete additional due diligence research for noted red flags of loan files.
Maintain appropriate turn-times and production standards by company s definition.
Responsible for tracking of results and the reporting of trends via spreadsheets or QC software.
Identify process improvements and training needs in the sales, fulfillment and underwriting areas.
Provide detailed reporting of audit findings and performance scorecards for mortgage originations staff.
Perform other job related duties and special projects as required by management.
Effective problem solver as well as a mentor to internal staff.
