Public Buildings Service Lead Construction Control Representative in United States

Summary As a Lead Construction Control Representative, you will be responsible for construction management for the technical, financial and business management of the most complex, large and politically sensitive prospectus design and construction projects. The Design and Construction Division develops and delivers workplace environments and solutions to support our customers' needs. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed. Responsibilities Attends design and construction start meetings for projects and participates in CAB meetings for the specific geographic area of the region. Actively participates in the selection and training of new associates, including attendance at the intern developmental presentations and acts as a mentor to group members. Coordinates with other geographic group leaders and actively participates in initial RPI efforts and region wide initiatives, and attends Branch meetings. Monitors the status of individual assignments and level of participation by team members, and makes adjustments in accordance with established priorities, obtains assistance from the supervisor only on major issues or problems that may arise. Reviews black book, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and General Services Acquisition Regulations (GSAR) updates and ensures implementation of new policies, procedures, and processes. Salary is determined based on the duty station selected (2024 General Schedule Pay Table). To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience which included responsibility for developing and managing construction or alteration projects. Such experience must demonstrate experience defining requirements with customers; applying construction and cost estimating methods and techniques; contract administration; inspection and acceptance of materials and workmanship; and construction, installation or repair of various types of systems used in public use buildings (e.g., heating, air conditioning, fire safety, ventilation, plumbing). Quality Ranking Factor (QRF): It is preferred that you possess and maintain a Level-3 Federal Acquisition Certification for Contracting Officer's Representatives (FAC-COR).
