RCM Technologies Documentation Specialist in United States

Job Title: Documentation Specialist Job Function: C reate, edit, maintain, and archive various documents, adhering to strict industry standards and company protocols. Job Type: Full Time Contract until December 31,2024 with extension possibilities. Location: Barceloneta, PR (On-Site) Length of Assignment: 6 months + Scope of Job RCM is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Documentation Specialist to join our biopharmaceutical company client. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all scientific documentation related to our biotechnology research and development activities (or quality assurance procedures). Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and edit technical documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), protocols, laboratory notebooks, batch records, and reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to scientific best practices and regulatory guidelines (e.g., GLP, GMP).

  • Implement and maintain a document management system (DMS) for efficient organization, storage, and retrieval of all documentation.

  • Track document revisions and ensure all personnel are using the most current versions.

  • Conduct literature searches and compile relevant scientific data and information for inclusion in reports and other documents.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of training programs related to documentation practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory documentation standards.

  • Collaborate effectively with scientists, engineers, and other team members to gather information and ensure technical accuracy of documents.


  • Demonstrated experience in creating, editing, and maintaining scientific documentation (SOPs, protocols, lab notebooks, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) (depending on department) principles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Familiarity with document management systems (DMS) a plus.


  • Bachelor's degree in biology, Life Sciences, or a related field (Chemistry, Engineering preferred).

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting or related environment.
