Job description: This position will serve as a liaison between business finance users and the Business Technical Support community. The position’s primary focus will be on business systems and related processes across several Finance Functional Areas, Affiliates and Sites. The role is critical to ensure TM1, SAP Business Objects (BOBJ), and Planning Analytics (PAX/PAW) applications incidents are triaged as well as the successful future system enhancements of ASPIRE (AbbVie Standardized Planning and Reporting Environment). The day-to-day primary responsibility of the position will be to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) ensuring smooth business system operations and coordination of activities within Headquarters (HQ) Business and Technical Support and FP&A for all aspects of the systems life cycle.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead month end close systems process which includes ensuring timely data feeds, data validation and incident remediation across multiple reporting applications. Requires coordination with cross-functional subject matter experts in Business Technical Support and Corporate Financial Reporting, as well as Commercial and Operations Financial Planning and Analysis teams.

  • Support JAPAC (Japan, Asia Pacific, Australia, and China) Area for Commercial and Operations Finance as financial planning system administrator, which includes ensuring systems are staged and maintained appropriate during key financial reporting cycles.

  • Provide training and on-hands Financial Planning systems/template support to end-users.

  • Support JAPAC Commercial and Operations Finance as key liaison with Business and Technical Support Project Managers for testing and data validation with key system deployments.

  • Lead communication between Business and Technical Support leads and Areas/Affiliates/Sites including weekly status meetings and incident remediation during system deployments.

  • Lead process optimization initiatives with the FP&A organization.

  • Systems will include: Planning Analytics (PAX/PAW), SAP Business Objects (BOBJ), TM1, QlikView, PAW.

Qualifications

Data Analysis and Financial Management

The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced FP&A individual with an in-depth knowledge of financial and/or commercial planning processes and systems. The selected candidate must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated capability to work cross functionally with Finance, Marketing and BTS teams.

This position will encourage and support local super users. They will be expected to answer questions and resolve business issues in time zone and local language – demonstrate ‘know the business’ leadership.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Information Technology Systems related

  • Minimum 6+ years of progressive and related experience. 3-5 years prior experience in a Strategic/Analytical Role

  • Highly skilled in the use of HFM, Excel, PowerPoint, Word

  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills
