  • Responsible for performing work to achieve corporate supply chain performance targets focused on inventory reduction, increased inventory turns and improved order-to-delivery results.

  • The incumbent is a key team member working on the deployment of the Supply Chain Planning Process, which develops the Plan for Every Part and Pull Replenishment methods for a facility.

  • Incumbent is required to work effectively with diverse, multi-functional teams in order to apply the supply chain planning process and lead team efforts to develop lean material flow plans for a facility, which may include implementing changes to factory floor layout and material presentation at the point of use.

  • Incumbent gathers and analyzes data on facility demand and demand variability for each part required for production based on daily demand buckets for 120 work days. This role gathers and analyzes data about supplier shipping performance and variability % for each part number (both Time and Qty) This position is develops material flow plans for all material coming into a facility for production. Incumbent reviews, analyzes and cleans data prior to migration it into the PFEP Web Tool. This position leads the work of Supply Chain Planning Analysts in the documentation of this data into the Plan for Every Part web tool.

  • The incumbent is responsible for creating and maintaining a site level Flow Map for parts used in production. This position enables / coaches facility employees to utilize PFEP templates to load and maintain data in PFEP Web Tool, and provides reports and information to facility resources requiring PFEP information.

  • The incumbent is a key team member, and will be called upon to lead deployment teams, in the execution of Pull Material Replenishment processes in a plant. This work involves using material replenishment analytical tools, establishing and sizing material supermarkets, working with pull trigger systems, enhancing communications throughout a material flowpath, and working with material handlers and other factory personnel to drive common replenishment processes in a plant. The incumbent must be able to work among production employees with little to no disruption to their workload.

  • This position performs physical, tactical work across multiple functions to make improvements required to attain MQ or other like Certification for a Facility.

  • The incumbent performs physical, tactical work to reduce / eliminate supply chain constraints at both the facility and value stream level, working with a cross-functional team of personnel.

  • Minimal travel required (5% - 15% working time)


  • Bachelor degree in Engineering/Science/Commerce with 6-10 years of Experience Strong Service Parts, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, with broad understanding of Caterpillar processes and business model.

  • Two to three years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau & Business Objects

  • Strong project leadership and project management skills

  • Strong analytical, investigative and communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service focus

  • Excellent Leadership and problem solving skills

  • Advanced MS-Office skills and good presentation skills

  • Willing to work in US/Europe shifts

  • Previous systems experience with applications such as ANTARES, LOGNET, Customer Information Database (CID) & SAP/SPM System or other Caterpillar related systems

  • Additional characteristics include, planning and organizing, strong initiative and the ability to understand client, customer and supplier needs.

  • Supply Chain certification(s) [APICS, CPIM, CSCP]
