Oracle Developer Support Engineer in India

Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

We are seeking an accomplished enterprise software engineer who can be a Customer Success engineer and with an ambition to be a thought leader for the Integration Cloud Service Developer Support Engineering team. Cloud computing and integrations are dramatically changing the way software vendors and enterprises are composing their applications and solutions. Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) with 1600+ enterprise customers are initiatives at Oracle that enable web based integration development leveraging micro service architecture, supporting common integration patterns and encapsulating complexity while integrating Cloud products. You will need to have a deep understanding and extensive production experience developing large scale, complex highly scalable, responsive enterprise software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working within a highly successful cloud product organization, you will:

  1. Work on Customer Success Efforts by working closely with Support, Field, Product management and Development teams to ensure customer delight.

  2. Knowledge of complete cloud stack and service dependencies.

  3. Identify and Feedback improvements and gaps to improve service experience to Product management and Development teams

  4. Build and automate SOPs for Service.

  5. Answer customer queries and provide implementation guidance.

  6. Build Knowledge base on service and best practices.

  7. Work in Agile development environment across the globe, improving processes enabling the team to achieve higher productivity in continuous delivery environment and deliver a superior product to our customers.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

We are seeking experience with the following technologies/domains:

  1. Total 4+ years of Software Development Experience of which 3+ years in large-scale design and development of enterprise software products and Cloud Services focusing on Server and Web UI technologies

  2. Experience in building Cloud services with scalability, high availability/failover, security, data transformation and configuration management.

  3. Deep technical skills of Python, Java, Scripting, JSON, XML, Web 2.0, HTML5, Cloud enablement, Networking & Network Topologies and micro services. etc.

  4. Good working knowledge of DevOps Tools like Gradle, GIT, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, UpGrad etc.

  5. Preferable Working knowledge of Analytics and Reporting tools like BI, Tableau etc.

  6. Production experience with deploying applications that integrate with large scale REST based services in an enterprise.

  7. Deep understanding and commitment to product quality and automation, including values such as scalability, performance, reliability, code health, and maintainability.

  8. Exhibits traits such as insisting on the highest standards, bias for action, vocally self-critical, willing to push boundaries and think big.

  9. Prior experience with agile methodologies

  10. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
