Ace Glass Inc. Engineering Technician in Vineland, New Jersey
JOB DESCRIPTION: Design industrial/chemical glassware including reaction and pilot plant equipment. Field technical support calls from customers and co-workers on the phone, through the ticket system and via email. Participate in regular engineering meetings. Assemble & disassemble select systems prior to shipment to ensure quality. Limited opportunities for new product development. Work with support staff such as Outside Sales Representatives, Customer Service, Purchasing, Departmental Foreman, President, Plant Manager, Administrative, etc. Individual will be required to 'switch gears' yet stay focused and intent on the departmental objectives. The right individual will be given the opportunity and knowledge to develop into a technical asset for the company. QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Chemistry/Sciences. Working knowledge of pilot plants, chromatography and photochemistry. Mechanical and Technical Ability. Excellent Organizational Ability. Computer literate. Ability to Multi-task. Ability to communicate with all walks of life from chemistry students to PHDs. Ability and desire to work through heavy accents until issue is resolved. An aptitude to assist in the design of products. Ability to communicate with others in a level-headed/productive manner. Process/system oriented. Detail oriented. Self-motivated.
