As Controller and a Trusted Business Partner to the Smart Home Security Team, you will have in-depth involvement in many aspects of the business with a focus on financial planning and reporting for two key strategic areas: Business and Consumer Security Sales and shared service functions (Installations and Repairs). Your expertise with financial reporting and forecasting will shape critical business decisions. Your talent for balancing focus on small but important details and the big picture will be invaluable as you address complex challenges with innovative solutions. Your insights, solutions and recommendations will enable senior leaders and key stakeholders to make the right business decisions as we strive for market growth and operational excellence.

As the Subject Matter Expert, you’ll

  • Deliver financial operational excellence as a trusted financial partner

  • Support a team to provide outstanding financial results to stakeholders

  • Lead and coordinate the revenue, cogs and commission financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning process

  • Perform monthly and periodic activities, including month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, budget transfers, hierarchy changes, triage/forecast loading, and balance sheet management relating to revenue and commission expenses

  • Partner with primes and key stakeholders to prepare and present senior level summary reports and presentations to support decision making

  • Develop, Analyze, evaluate and report on complex financial proposals, business plans or investments to drive improved results

  • Liaise with Consolidation Financial Planning & Analysis teams to address consolidated reporting or forecasting requirements

  • Lead and coordinate a diverse range of ad-hoc financial and operational analysis requests from senior leaders

  • Acknowledged for strong business acumen and analytical problem-solving skills

  • Appreciated for owning and enthusiastically addressing challenges and issues

  • Poised and confident when interacting with and delivering presentation to senior management

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

  • Professional Accounting Designation (e.g. Chartered Professional Accountant)


  • 5-7 years of relevant and progressive financial experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Excel, MS PowerPoint, Hyperion and SAP

  • Good working knowledge of IFRS

  • Team leadership experience
