Background & Purpose of the Job

The Assistant BDM is responsible for managing/generating all related sales forecast by customer, sales reports and working closely with BDMs to provide insights analysis to enable delivering business targets by distributor, category, brand, and business unit.

Distributor/Customer Management

  • Coordinate the process of Joint Business Planning (JBPs) across internal (Unilever) and Distributor teams

  • Understand POS date, primary sales to distributers partners, and secondary sales by channel/ retailer/ distributor.

  • Lead all POS sales data analysis and reporting

  • Oversee Distributor sell out tracking and reporting

  • Ensure full integration of forecasting among all Distributors’ and business submission timelines

  • Provide distributors’ input into Innovation forecast through insights on in-market competitor activities and pricing research.

  • Set up innovation prices in the system and ensure prices set up/ aligned at distributors’ record

  • Maintain master data of UI portfolio with all products information

  • Responsible of forecast update and submission by distributor.

  • Measure, track and report distributors and retailers’ performance and ensure real time reporting are put in place to ensure enabling achievement of agreed Objectives.

Manage Internal UI Processes

  • Monitors implementation and adherence to UI Processes internally across functions and externally with the distributors

  • Monitors the performance of business partners

  • Communication: Shares actual performance of Business with the Internal Business Partners.

Sales Operations Management:

  • Ensuring speed to market reporting for New Product Distribution

  • Analysis, monitor, and report of New Outlet Sales Throughput

  • Ensure submission of Monthly Principal Report

  • Sales Report – Daily / Weekly / Monthly

  • Ensure timely accrual of all Trading Terms and deduction submission in the system

  • Ensure proper tracking of trading terms / promotion à budget vs actual

  • In-Market Activities Report & Competitor Data

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Minimum of 2 years FMCG Customer Business management

  • Understanding of Finance P&L

  • Managed budget/record tracking

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office

  • Strong communications

  • Able to juggle several projects with different deadlines and various stakeholders
