Position Summary :
The Lead Nursing Director for Neonatal ICU will provide leadership for multiple patient care areas. They will plan and direct those responsible for daily operations. They lead, coordinate and execute plans to achieve corporate, hospital and unit goals. They will be responsible for direct oversight of interdisciplinary teams to specific pediatric specialty units. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Leads departments by providing a vision for direction, embraces and leads the change process to achieve the vision
Effectively makes and communicates decisions to achieve desired outcomes
Coaches and facilitates the growth of development of employees and leaders within the department
Develops an environment for success through team leadership and participation
Achieves quality patient outcomes, directs the hiring, counseling and scheduling of associates within specified areas
Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN), Masters degree must be obtained within 5 years of hire
RN license in the State of Ohio
Three (3) to five (5) years progressive management experience in healthcare
Three (3) to five (5) years experience in a patient care area
Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills
