A successful candidate will serve as Construction Control Representative in the Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) Strategic Terminal Engineering Branch. The Construction Control Representative will serve as an on-site subject matter expert for Modernization Enterprise Terminal Construction Projects and Satellite Communication (SATCOM) System installation projects worldwide.

The Construction Control Representative position requires expertise in various technical fields and program management. Construction work performed at sites often present problems of unusual complexity because of non-applicability of established criteria and technical precedents, inadequacy or unavailability of data, or modifications to meet changed user requirements. The selected candidate must be able to apply general knowledge of the fields and to transfer experience and knowledge of complex SATCOM systems and installations.

The Construction Control Representative must have the ability to make sound administrative and technical decisions to resolve conflict and develop approaches and/or solutions to complex problems that may arise.


• Serves as TYAD engineering subject matter expert for construction and electromechanical SATCOM system installation projects involving extensive civil, structural, electrical, electronic, HVAC and mechanical work

• Utilizes experience, knowledge, independent research, and judgment to develop new approaches to solutions of problems that may arise

• Provides technical guidance to the customer and TYAD management officials for new systems which TYAD is responsible for the design, development, fabrication of the Technical Data Packages (TDP)

• Serves as TYAD’s technical expert, advisor, and central point of contact for the program/project manager.

• Represents TYAD at meetings to describe TYADs capability to perform various design, analysis, and manufacturing tasks


• Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 10 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering, or Master’s Degree plus 8 years related experience

• In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 20 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience

• Prior experience at TYAD strongly preferred

• Prior experience providing engineering support to various SATCOM Systems

• US citizenship required

• Ability to obtain secret security clearance
