This position includes working in a glass plant performing various jobs to support the production of glass products. Maintenance occupations might include mechanical, electrical or electronic repair of equipment and facilities.Work Schedule: 12-hour rotating shift assignment. Extra hours will be required as needed. Job Summary: Responsible for supporting Production by performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventive maintenance.Education / Experience:High School degree required. Two (2) year Technical Degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical or related preferred.Two (2) years of previous full-time General Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required; Three to five (3-5) years of experience preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, SAFETY and WORK ENVIRONMENT:Must be able to wear a respirator and work in confined spaces.Perform duties within normal industrial environmental conditions and outside and may encounter extreme heat, cold, wet, or dangerous weather conditions.Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance.Must be able to push/pull, grip to use hand tools, reach, see, hear, and speak.Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.Associate must follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building.Must follow all PPE requirements.Vitro provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
