Description Summary Receive and process incoming materials and supplies and prepare product for shipment in support of company operations. Monitor quality of incoming materials and perform advanced receiving functions, such as material acceptance using QA delegation authority. Work closely with other departments to ensure efficient consolidation, loading and shipment of product to customers and/or other facilities. Pay Scale Range Starting $21.00 12 - Months $23.00 24 - Months $25.00 36 - Months $27.00 48 - Months $29.00 60 - Months $32.76 Retention Bonus $250.00 after 3 months of employment $750.00 after 12 months of employment Summary Through shipping and receipt activities, manage raw material inventory for count and identification accuracy at offsite dry goods storage vendor. Monitor the accuracy and ensure timeliness of work performed by storage facility staff. Duties and Responsibilities Ensure the accuracy and condition of raw material inventory received and stored at offsite dry goods storage vendor. Monitor the accuracy and ensure timeliness of work performed by storage facility staff. Develop cross training documentation and provide training to staff as directed to ensure adequate skills to perform as backup in TCA's shipping and receiving departments, as necessary. Provide inbound inspection and receipt of all raw materials that are drop shipped to offsite dry goods storage vendor. Verify and ensure that raw material vendor documentation meets criteria. Submit inbound test requests to TCA's test lab, as required. Ship raw material to be tested to TCA location. Provide oversight of annual inventory process, audited by TCA's accounting firm as well as cycle counting as deemed necessary. Document damaged inventory, generating documentation necessary as defined in TCA's Quality Management System (QMS). Verify corrective action implementation as required. Working with cold storage facility staff and cross-departmentally within TCA, evaluate processes and procedures to develop and implement process improvements. Maintain safe work practices at all times in support of TCA's goal of zero accidents. Skills and Specifications General knowledge of shipping/receiving, inventory, accounting practices and basic process auditing. Basic knowledge of record keeping and reporting techniques and procedures. Ability to be a good team player. Ability to set priorities. Ability to self-motivate, motivate others and take initiative. Ability to utilize good judgment skills in decision-making situations. Education and Qualifications Associate's degree and two years' experience in shipping, receiving and/or logistics or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Working knowledge of "world class" manufacturing philosophy, techniques and tools; including total quality management, high-performance work teams, just in time inventory control and materials resource planning, preferred. Personal computer experience in Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word, required. Hazardous material certification and/or experience preferred. Technician levels 1 - to level 5 follow progressive competencies by defined level following initial hire.
