Its mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination.General Responsibilities:The Business Administrator will be responsible for personnel matters, program development and coordination, and general management of the administrative portion of Salvation Army Tacoma Corps Services. The Business Administrator is directly accountable to the Corps Officers for all matters of Business and Development.Accounting, Finance, Budgeting:.and.bull; Supervise Program Support Administrator.and.bull; Work with Program Support Administrator and other key staff in preparing proposals for funding.and.bull; Ensure that The Salvation Army-Tacoma Corps is operating in compliance with all contracts for service in all departments.and.bull; Manage the annual budgeting process in conjunction with the Corps OfficersSocial Service Department:.and.bull; Supervise Food Bank and Shield Director.and.bull; Work with Department Head in the daily operation of the Food Bank, including Warehouse supervision;.and.bull; Jarvie Emergency Family Lodge and Social Service caseworkers.and.bull; Work with Food Bank and Shield Director to develop innovative programs based on community need.and.bull; Work with Food Bank and Shield Director on Seasonal Assistance ProgramsDevelopment/Donor Relations:.and.bull; Seek funding opportunities and write grants within The Salvation Army Northwest Division guidelines.and.bull; Work with Program Support Administrator regarding donations and donor records.and.bull; Work with Corps Officer on capital campaign and building project.and.bull; Serve as primary contact for media and public relations for social service, disaster services, Local Community Church groups, non-profits, businesses, City .and.amp; County officials..and.bull; Develop relationships in the surrounding community.and.bull; Assist with Advisory Board development and Board fund raising activities.and.bull; Oversee a disaster services plan in collaboration with other community organizationsProperties/Maintenance:.and.bull; Supervise the maintenance management of the Corps Buildings, Center for SocialServices Shelter and vehicles.and.bull; Deal with necessary repair items through contact with vendors or request ofvolunteer services.and.bull; Complete and submit necessary paperwork and procedures in acquiring property andvehicle repairsHuman Resources:The Business Administrator will be responsible for all issues of local HR management.
