The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Quality Test Specialist (Test Process Quality) to join the Panels & Test Operations group located in Sylmar, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs Environmental Testing.

  • Assists with the development or improvement of inspection or test techniques.

  • Assists in the design and creation of test coupons to validate equipment or determine product acceptance.

  • Follows documented procedures to set up and calibrate specialized test or measurement equipment.

  • Assists in the documentation of procedures for setting up and calibrating test equipment.

  • Follows documented procedures to perform tests or inspections and collects data for evaluation of process equipment, software, solutions, products or materials.

  • Analyzes routine test, inspection or statistical data to determine product and processes conformity or assists with standard corrective action recommendations.

  • Elevates anomalous results as required.

  • Documents and communicates standard test, analysis or measurement results to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

  • Works under general supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ year of experience with electronic hardware testing and troubleshooting

  • Experience using MS Excel to perform data analysis including pivot tables and charts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with soldering and terminating

  • Experience working composites

  • Experience with Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller design and operating principles

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: USD $46,750 – 63,250
