The purpose of the Client Technology Lead Manager is to act as a player coach for your team. You will be equally comfortable supporting your own set of customers, as you will in helping your team excel.

Client Technology Leads support the digital transformation of our industry-focused enterprise customers. You will manage a small team of technologist who are responsible for designing the strategy and architecture to drive their customer’s innovation agenda. You will support them in doing this, and drive this within your own customers, as well as ideating with them to inspire them around the possibilities that technology can provide.

As the Client Technology Lead Manager you will have the opportunity to own and strengthen executive customer relationships, work as a thought leader, create long term strategies linking business, technology and industry needs as well as lead a Microsoft team of technical experts to provide the right solutions to our customers.


There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one:

  • Related experiences managing high performing and collaborative technical sales teams.

  • Be a people leader with a focus on developing a great team through coaching, facilitating cross group collaboration and the ability to influence across industry boundaries.

  • Experience working with enterprise customers to drive digital transformation in a technical consulting or technical sales role.

  • An understanding of how to build a technical strategy and roadmap, gaining executive buy in and how to orchestrate a team to execute against that.

  • Passion for and a knowledge of a range of technical solutions such as cloud platforms, applications, security and productivity tools.
