At the underbelly we expect you to have a broad HR skill set that lends itself well to the business. In addition, we need someone with passion and employee relations experience who can maintain strong partnerships with HR, legal and the business. Your ability to master relationships with all levels—including executives, and influence their thinking will entice them to want to follow your lead in creating transformational change and deliver core ER results.

You will act as a key advisor and subject matter expert on content knowledge, relationship management and proactive interventions and serve as a resource/consultant in tactical and strategic approaches across all HR areas. You will be masterful at advising employees and management on highly complex and critical ER/HR issues, policies, practices and programs. You will provide counseling and support managers and employees in dealing with the day-to-day issues in the work environment related to employee relations, legal compliance, performance management, coaching, and change management.

Responsibilities:

  • Track key metrics regarding trends and patterns of discipline - including volume and case type

  • Advise and counsel managers on disciplinary issues including misconduct, policy practice violations, corrective actions, and termination

  • Investigate, assess and recommend resolutions to employee relations issues raised through various means, including company hot lines and direct contact from management and employees

  • Partner with other HR Business Partners and centers of excellence to ensure alignment, solve business problems, execute on company/BU talent initiatives and create a strong, cross-functional team.

  • Manage issues that are time-sensitive and highly confidential

  • Develop and present appropriate training on HR and employee relations topics

  • Be able to scale 10x as we are building a global organization; leverage is critical, you need to be able to do more with less

  • Inspire passion; inject change and help drive the ER brand within LinkedIn

  • Lead or contribute to ad hoc cross-functional compliance related projects

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA required

  • 5-7 years of relevant ER experience, within a global organization

  • Have a core foundation of HR and ER experience specific to: performance management; employee relations; coaching and counselling; investigation of employee complaints; policy development and administration; intimate familiarity with APAC jurisdictions employment law

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to develop policies and practices in line with development in employment legislation and HR best practice

  • Experience in hyper-growth and/or emerging businesses as well as large scale, complex organisations

  • Experience and resilience to navigate ambiguous and critical situations

  • Familiarity with APAC jurisdictions employment law including; ER, manager employee coaching on company processes / resources & effective working relationships

  • Critical thinker who is able to manage multiple complex issues and prioritize projects concurrently

  • Excellent analytical and project management skills

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)

  • Be able to travel as needed for HR / client events (<20%)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a familiarity of HR Information Systems
