Robert Half Service Division Administrator (Accounting) in Sterling, Virginia


We are working with a very unique HVAC organization, specializing in the construction and maintenance of Data Centers nationally. The hiring team is actively looking to complete the growing team of a well respected and influential company with a Service Division Administrator position. similarly an Accounting Administrator function. The day-to-day operations of this role include, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Customer Invoicing, Billing and Invoicing, and various Accounts Receivable (A/R) responsibilities. This permanent Accounting Administrator position is located in the Dulles Virginia, area.

Your responsibilities

  • Assist with other related duties and special projects as assigned

  • Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

  • Use knowledge of expenditure codes and accounting codes to accurately code documents

  • Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts

  • General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

  • Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers

  • Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

  • Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

  • Experience with high volume data entry

  • Well-founded grasp of Invoice Discrepancies

  • Experience with Code Invoices

  • Skills in Assist Customers

  • Foundational knowledge in Coding Invoices

  • Coding Invoices experience required

  • General familiarity with Invoice Entry

  • Proven knowledge of Enter Invoices

  • Previous experience working with Customer Contracts

  • Wide ranging experience with customer service

  • Good understanding of Customer Satisfaction

  • Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized

  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

  • 2+ years of accounting experience required
