APPLICATION DEADLINE: 10/08/2020 SHIFT: 7:00am-3:30pm HOURS: 16 hrs/week POSITION SUMMARY: The Housekeeper (a) maintains the facility (b) ensures cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility in compliance with all applicable codes, (c) performs daily cleaning and disinfecting of all assigned areas, furniture and equipment throughout the facility including all common areas, office space, restrooms, and resident/tenant rooms following a routine schedule. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Maintain facility with meticulous care and ensure cleanliness and infection prevention throughout the facility in compliance with all applicable codes.* a. Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning and replacement of equipment and furnishings as needed. * b. Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment. * c. Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor or submit maintenance order requests as appropriate for items such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken window panes, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc. * d. Check entire area for spills, water, etc. periodically, especially in resident bathrooms. * e. Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting of assigned areas. * f. Request supplies and equipment as needed for cleaning. * 2) Serve as a resource for residents, tenants and families and respond to their concerns as appropriate. * a. Maintain cleanliness of resident and tenant space, common and office areas by vacuuming, emptying garbage cans, washing windows and floors, disinfecting restrooms, etc. * 3) Provide assistance with general facility support as appropriate. * a. Provide detailed cleaning of rooms after a change of occupancy, also assisting with the move at the time of discharge. * b. Report needed repairs to facility and equipment as needed. * 4) Follow all safety rules, regulations and best practices. * b. Follows infection prevention and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary clean environment is maintained at all times. Follow proper reporting, isolation and handwashing procedures/techniques. * c. Utilize personal protective equipment as required. 5) Follow procedures for the safe and efficient use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to provide the cleanest and safest environment for all * a. Safe use of fill dispensing stations and containers, according to specifications. * 6) Support various other Environmental Services responsibilities as needed and/or as requested by management. *Denotes Essential Function of the position. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping, janitorial or Environmental Services experience preferred.
