Pharmacy Operations Supervisor
Provide supervision and guidance to a team of pharmacy operations support specialists who perform one or more of the following functions: Medicare Part D rejected claims management, pharmacy prior authorizations, support of the Medication Therapy Management and Overutilization Management Programs.
Daily supervision and guidance to Pharmacy Operations Support Specialists (POSS).
Manage schedules, time cards workflows and division of duties among Pharmacy Operations support specialists
Monitor daily productivity and compile monthly metrics
Support development of client facing reports
Become subject expert with Medicare Part D policies and procedures
Be able to interact with the pharmacy benefits manager, pharmacies, prescribers, and members to ensure appropriate and timely member access to prescription drugs
Develop work flows for medical pharmacy prior authorizations and Medicare Part D drug reconsiderations or other functions assigned to the POSS team
Support compliance functions and requests
Support the Medication Therapy Management and Overutilization Management Programs
Support quality programs including STARS initiatives
Document and track findings in a computerized system(s)
Develop training materials as needed for new hires or new processes
Collaborate with clinical manager to identify department strategies
High school diploma or GED required
Current Certified Pharmacy Technician License preferred
Minimum of two years Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
Excellent people leader skills with a minimum of one year in a leadership role
Part D health plan or pharmacy benefit management experience ideal
Ability to consistently meet deadlines; demonstrated flexibility and ability to work independently and adapt to a changing work environment
Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills
Team player with a positive attitude
Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
Basic PC skills required including experience with and strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
