TEKsystems OSP Fiber Splicer in SPARKS, Maryland


The fiber splicer will be responsible for performing various types of splicing within the DMV footprint. The current need is to support MD Broadband and Rural expansion efforts on the eastern shore. This individual can live there and work the contract, or live near KCI facility and travel to stay in hotel Monday-Friday (Covered by client). This will be a ton of underground work and experience with Handholes is preferred. The majority of their work is in Baltimore City and Harford County outside of this project. They do support Major Carriers, S&L, and Federal initiatives. They will get a company vehicle that they get to take home. On a daily basis they will report to one of the locations that is closest to their home (White Marsh ideally) to gather materials and then go to various commercial job sites to perform splicing and testing. The end client that they will be supporting will be either Crown Castle, major carriers, or the state directly.

Reliable, and Flexible Ability to Travel, work on teams and independently. Experience with towing trailers is preferred as well. Needs to pass DOT
