CVS Health Senior Manager Data Warehouse Management in Smithfield, Rhode Island

Job Description

The Retail Pharmacy Data and Products is looking for an accomplished Manager with previous experience managing and designing large applications. The team is looking for a self-driven individual with solid communication and management skills to lead the Solution Architect and Business Analysts. This individual will lead the team to execute products/initiatives that fall under the Retail Rx Data and Products organization. At CVS Health, the IT Senior Manager plays a leadership role in Business Problem Solving and recommends actionable next steps. The Senior manager should have practical work experience in business solution, business analysis, and/or managing business analysts, with repeated practice performing business analysis in various complex situations. They work autonomously to plan, supervise, and lead other BSA-BAs on projects and work efforts.Responsibilities- Provide mentoring, coaching, and leadership to help facilitate growth and learning for the team- Foster an environment of sharing knowledge and developing innovative solutions- Play a leadership role in business problem solving; leads or performs current state analysis to assist in the definition of new concepts- Foster a positive environment and demonstrate successful relationship building with cross-functional teams and business partners- Work in conjunction with product and application managers to ensure product scope management.- Lead agile adoption activities for the Rx Data & product organization - Guides and leads other Solution Architects and Business Analysts through the agile delivery phases. This includes providing guidance, direction, feedback, and coaching to ensure team effectiveness.- Partner with the Business to define the scope and prioritize business features.- Drive innovative technology solutions aligned with CVS Health's business strategies.- Ensure the requirements are Comprehensive, clear, testable, well documented, and maintained- Must have hands-on knowledge of managing Data Warehousing, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence landscape- Knowledge of data warehouse software development lifecycles, including product Management using Lean and Agile methodologies- Hiring, training, and supervising staff. Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

8-10 years of prior related experienceIn addition, be a self-driven individual with the following:- 5+ years of demonstrated practical work experience in a management role - 5+ years of demonstrated practical work experience in the Solution Architecture or Business Analyst role, including writing business requirements and solutions.- 10+ years experience in the software development methodology lifecycle, including process analysis and design, business and functional requirements analysis, use case analysis, data analysis, system design, development, testing, and implementation- 3+ years practicing Agile methodology - 3+ years experience working in and leading dynamic cross-competency teams using a structured project methodology

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA experience in the Healthcare or Retail industry- Certified in Agile delivery methodologies - Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio)- Exposure to BI Tools, Database and SQL concepts- Rally tool experience managing user stories and status reporting- Writing and Verbal skills with meticulous attention to detail, to communicate information effectively to leaders, managers, and technical staff; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization- Interpersonal skills to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, product management, and technical staff)

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in IT, IT, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Computer Science, or equivalent
