What you will do

This role is within the manufacturing organization of Amgen Singapore Manufacturing. The Senior Associate Manufacturing is a key role to support the manufacturing shift in successful execution. We offer a broad exposure to all key aspect of GMP manufacturing as well as tactical and strategic teamwork within the extended manufacturing network.

  • Provide technical expertise for upstream or downstream processes

  • Change control ownership and Non-Conformance investigation ownership.

  • Troubleshooting of Non-Conformances and working with Quality, F&E, EH&S, P&PD, P&PE etc. to address CAPAs. Work with relevant subject matter experts from all departments in the course of investigation for the completion of an investigation and the implementation of appropriate CAPAs

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information with internal and external colleagues of varying organizational levels

  • Ability to coach, mentor and/or cross train colleagues within core technical areas

  • Extensive technical knowledge of upstream or downstream processing and broad understanding of related disciplinary areas

  • Ability to design and execute a technical study with minimal guidance

  • Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret technical data through trend analysis, forecasting, modeling, etc.

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information with internal and external colleagues of varying organizational levels in both presentation and technical writing forms

  • Ability to coach, mentor and/or cross train colleagues within core technical areas

  • Understands the core functional business processes and their role in Amgen's commercialization program

  • Master’s Degree OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience directly related to the job OR

  • Associate’s Degree and 6 years of experience directly related to the job OR

  • High School Diploma / GED and 8 years of experience directly related to the job

  • Knowledge of plant and unit operations (autoclave, parts washers, process equipment), good problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrate commitment to cGMP, EHS compliance aspects of clean-room plant operation

  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma

  • Excellent self-motivated team player with hands-on attitude and good communication skills

  • Experience with Emerson DeltaV, LIMS, TrackWise

  • Ability to understand, apply and evaluate basic chemistry, biology and physical principles

  • Ability and willingness to work any shift in support of operations that may include 24/7

  • Mechanical ability/expertise
