Samsung Electronics America Regional Manager, Brand Marketing in Singapore, Singapore

Position Summary

• The role is part of the regional Corp Mktg team and reports to the Head of Corporate Mktg.

• This role’s key responsibility is to drive brand marketing initiatives across the region and strengthen our brand experience across all key touchpoints. Role scope covers the region of SEA and ANZ

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead regional brand marketing and brand experience initiatives.

  • Identify key gaps and opportunities

  • Develop regional brand marketing and loyalty strategy

  • Design and execute brand marketing plan and initiatives with internal teams and partner agencies

  • Implement initiatives in close partnership with subsidiaries

  • Monitor results and ensure impact on key KPIs and metrics. Develop relevant learning and case studies.

  • Enhance brand experience on our owned channels (Dotcom, Social)

  • Drive Post Purchase Experience across the region to improve customer retention.

  • Act as a regional liaison for Global Marketing campaigns and initiatives

  • Actively contribute to building marketing capability within the region (development of guidelines and best practices, piloting new tools and opportunities, etc.)The role has constant interactions with multiple teams at a Global and Local level within the extended marketing community (Corporate Mktg, Product Marketing across all key categories, Online, Customer Service) and across functions (Management Support, Legal, IT etc.), as well as with various agencies.

  • Develop strong relationships with key business partners (in regional office, countries and global headquarters).

  • Moderate brand and corporate marketing conversations and agenda

  • Drive and develop collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships with key agencies and partners

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree or Master in Economics, Marketing or Business Administration

  • At least 10 years professional experience in marketing, acquired at least in part in a regional role, with a proven track record

  • Need to have actual brand management and brand experience management experience (not just product marketing)

  • Solid experience in digital marketing to thrive in digital / mobile 1st environment

  • Strong customer focus – i.e. ability to place our customers at the heart of our thinking process and make data and insight led decision and recommendations

  • Strong presentation and communication skills to deal with a broad set of stakeholders, ability to tell compelling stories and align people behind plans

  • Ability to work autonomously and drive the agenda on key areas of responsibilities.

  • Ability to work with speed and navigate complex multi-cultural matrix environments with many partners and stakeholders.

  • Behavior Traits: Resilient team player with strong networking skills, quick learner, externally orientated, at ease with ambiguity, embrace change and at ease in fast paced environments
