Teledyne Technologies Assistant Materials Co-ordinator in Shipley, United Kingdom
Teledyne Defence & Space have a great opportunity to join our team working on the exciting OneWeb satellite communication programme. You will be working in our production planning team, helping to support the materials co-ordination activities for our busy production floor.
Position Summary and Responsibilities
Providing kitted materials to the production floor as required in the daily production plan
Provide information to enable MRP Order Action reports, Shortage reports and Exception Message reports on at least a weekly basis in order to meet schedule adherence
Carry out ERP system transactions for all WIP and stock movement on the shop floor
physically move items/material through manufacturing operations stages
Ensure accurate Bills of Materials for each contract/job are being used to latest revision
Utilise in process KANBAN’s and visual controls
Understand physical locations for all work in progress
Update of any line side feed stock on the shop floor, 2-Bin systems and consumables shelf life stocks
To issue kitting paperwork to the Stores department to schedule and check the kitting for any shortages and to ensure shortages are cleared
Chase any material and WIP requirements in order to meet production targets and highlight immediately any issues which will result in the targets not being achieved and feedback this information into the system.
Assist in Work in Progress (WIP) counts and Stock checks
Ensure latest issue of Manufacturing Data Pack (MDP) is released and used in Production.
Some experience in a material co-ordination, inventory management or stores/warehouse areas would be beneficial
Proficient in MS Office with the ability to input data .
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Practical individual with a “Can-Do” approach who is willing to learn by supporting other Planners.
