The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon.
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Acquisitions Manager who will be responsible for sourcing strategic real estate acquisition opportunities across the globe that will enable Amazon’s culture to thrive. This role involves looking around corners, sourcing and identifying off-market opportunities by leveraging industry knowledge and relationships in the real estate community, and evaluating the feasibility of those opportunities in conjunction with Regional Portfolio Management teams (e.g., Strategic Planning, Transactions, Construction, Portfolio Managers, etc.). The Strategic Acquisitions Manager would support the Regional Portfolio Management teams in preparing recommendations and seeking approvals from senior leadership, as well as support the due diligence and negotiation processes related to these unique opportunities.
Key job responsibilities
• Continuously monitor the real estate environment to identify and surface potential strategic opportunities by leveraging relationships with investors, developers, brokers, and industry contacts, with a focus on locations that attract, retain, and enable talent to thrive
• Collaborate with cross-functional Regional Portfolio Management teams to remain current with business needs and regional strategies which may inform where and what types of opportunities to pursue
• Partner with GREF Finance and Regional Portfolio Managers to evaluate the viability of potential opportunities by performing in-depth financial and location analysis
• Support the due diligence process, including coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, such as legal, finance, consultants, and operational teams
• Support regional transaction managers on the purchase and sale agreements, lease terms, and other contractual arrangements to ensure favorable outcomes for the organization
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with real estate brokers, developers, investors, and other industry partners
• Stay up-to-date to provide thought leadership and strategic input on real estate trends, conditions, regulations and optimization opportunities to senior leadership
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business, or a related field
7+ years of experience in real estate acquisition, disposition, or portfolio management
Proven track record of successfully negotiating and executing complex real estate transactions
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in financial modeling, market analysis, and due diligence processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and evaluate strategic real estate opportunities
Familiarity with relevant real estate laws, regulations, and industry best practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of real estate valuation methods, investment analysis, and portfolio optimization strategies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $193,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
