The Business Program Manager role is responsible for CCSM sales and marketing enablement by driving improvements in our business processes. This role’s main accountability is the process simplification of the rhythm of the business (ROB) for the CCSM business on WW level and to help ensure the quality and impact of business process for CCSM stakeholders and Microsoft business partners. The Business Program Manager will identify areas to improve the impact of key business planning rhythms, business review beats, and account planning processes. The individual needs to be comfortable engaging senior leaders while managing priorities and making decisions in a fast-paced, complex, and matrixed environment.
You will report to the Director of Worldwide Operations and this is one of only a handful of roles which will look left-to-right across the whole CCSM business – creating process clarity for our organization. An affinity for learning, the ability to form educated recommendations and an ability to influence are critical to this position. This role gives the opportunity to plan and build end-to-end processes, projects and programs with significant complexity and drive innovation and change for the consumer business. A positive attitude, a team mentality, ability to simplify the complex, strategic thinking, adaptability, and creativity are crucial for success in this role. The role will also be responsible for the Business Manager community in the regions, where they will create clarity, generate energy around driving ROB excellence, and collectively deliver success to positively impact sales and marketing enablement within our organization.
Worldwide Business Planning & Review Meetings
Project manage WW Business Planning & Review Rhythms including Integrated Partner Planning Meetings (IPPM) and Monthly Business Roundtables.
Establish objectives, scope, workback timeline, work breakdown, and RACI to drive clarity with all stakeholders.
Coordinate event logistics (location, food, AV, budget, etc.) for in person meetings.
Manage project v-team by leading v-team meetings, creating clarity through communications, and identify and assist unblocking issues.
Post-event, capture and deliver meaningful insights to drive continuous improvements to enhance and improve the process.
Setup the process for timely resolution of action items and follow-ups.
Engage LT to collaborate and develop meeting structure and objective. Ensure clear communication and engagement to deliver on rhythms. Provide monthly functional lead updates.
Create all meeting related communications including executive kickoff and post meeting recaps.
Internal ROB and Partner Planning Rhythms
Coordinate end to end view of key planning and process timelines that impact the CCSM organization including (not limited to) Partner Planning, Transformation, Workforce, Scorecard, Finance, L&D, HR, Tooling, Compensation, and all business planning/review rhythms owned by the functional teams.
Understand left to right view of all key internal ROBs to drive collaboration between teams, reduce duplication, and drive simplification.
Understand and document partner-facing rhythms. Identify areas of improvement and simplification across regions while sharing best practices. Ensure internal ROB supports partner-facing rhythms and timing while taking a partner-centric approach.
Partner with EA to schedule all ROB meetings and improve calendar tooling solution.
Act as a PMO for ROB across the organization by offering support to drive standardization across ROB processes.
Ensure plans are communicated to the LT and organization.
Partner with solutions team to create tooling to support ROB rhythms.
Business Manager Community
Build and cultivate the business manager community through clear communications and connection points including bi-weekly call and monthly communications.
Evangelize the opportunity to leverage business managers for feedback as a part of the communications ecosystem.
Create opportunities for the business managers to deliver impact across the regions by leading worldwide initiatives.
Reinforce a culture of collaboration and allow business managers to leveraging the work of others across regions by creating space and opportunities for the community.
Requirements: Education, Key Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
3-5 years related experience
People management experience is advantageous but not a requirement
Intermediate conflict resolution and negotiation skills (required)
Must have proven skills in financial, marketing, and IT management
Advanced oral and written communication skills, planning and organizational abilities
Must be able to work independently, handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, as well as negotiate and collaborate effectively
Highly analytical - ability to understand business metrics, customer, and market trends
Ambitious, self-starter, thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, effectively manages priorities
Confident with an ability to work and build strong relationships with senior managers, willing to take on big challenges, advocate a position, build a business case, and influence others (required)
Interpersonal and conflict resolutions skills that include exceptional cross-group collaboration skills to successfully and independently work across many teams and functions
Must be a person of integrity, capable of excellent judgement and decision-making skills, showing the utmost discretion in the management of confidential corporate information
Excellent understanding of Microsoft’s strategy, product, and service offerings, as well as company culture
Desirable qualifications include formal training in project and process management, financial accounting, business strategy and operations and/or internal controls
B.S./B.A required and/or experience in relevant fields e.g.: business, marketing, information technology, operations, finance. MBA preferred.
