Palo Alto Networks Manager, Systems Engineering - Expanse in Santa Clara, California

  • Recruit and hire new systems engineers into the territory, hiring the best talent in the industry.

  • Establish and manage territory coverage across regions and identify when additional resources are required.

  • Responsible to train, mentor, and review employees on your team, keeping them engaged and successful in their careers.

  • Support field systems engineer team in complex evaluations, problem-solving and challenging customer environments.

  • Manage the technical resources supporting the Expanse Sales organization.

  • Set the vision and the goals for multiple teams within the Expanse Sales Engineering organization.

  • Build and manage relationships with key customers to solidify reference accounts and to assist the account teams with defining plans to drive more business.

  • Communicate individual and team goals to staff, and manage toward those goals.

  • Support and train both technical Sales Engineering team members and non-technical, cross functional team members on how to position the Expanse offerings.

  • Conduct performance reviews, competitive wins/losses, as well as professional development opportunities for individual contributors.

  • Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape that every customer needs to be aware of and planning to deal with.

  • Collaborate with Sales to optimize and establish best practices in Sales Engineering/Sales Rep relationships.

  • Working with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D to establish the vision and product features for our large customers and provide feedback from customers.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams for maximum impact and scale.

  • Leadership/management experience in an enterprise level security consultative, vendor, or operational role building and assessing Information Security architectures and programs. You have expertise in architecting and designing enterprise scale security solutions.

  • You continually expand your knowledge and experience with the latest cutting-edge information security technologies. You have proficiency in multiple security technologies

  • You are a good listener to work with clients to understand issues/gaps in their security programs and work alongside them to provide solutions. You have excellent soft skills with the ability to articulate complex technical content to both technical and non-technical audiences. You facilitate and lead technical discussions and proactively identify customer needs. You act as voice of customer to product team to help create new offerings.

  • Act as an escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales technical issues that arise

  • You have a customer first attitude, believe in working together as a team, and have a competitive spirit to win.

  • Advanced knowledge of web threats and cybercrime.

  • Experience in network security/Vulnerability Mng will be a great add-on
