Yokohama Tire Events and Sponsorship Specialist in Santa Ana, California

This role supports in the coordination and execution of various Marketing activities with an emphasis on event planning and execution. In addition to event programs, this role will support both Partnerships and sponsored roster of Team Yokohama athletes. Ultimately you are a doer, with high drive and strong sense of accountability. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires close partnership across many teams including Sales, Motorsports, Product Planning and all aspects of Marketing functions. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.

  • Overall event pre-planning including, but not limited to: research, vendor selection, communication, asset planning & logistics, display artwork, ordering items, and supplies.

  • Work with brand team, graphic agency and partners to develop event product display look/feel, print collateral and overall event display flow

  • Onsite management of setup through execution of event or display opportunity

  • Ensures all key stakeholders are briefed and updated appropriately along each phase of the event- event selection/strategy, planning, and on site plan.

  • Gathers information & feedback from stakeholders for post Event Recaps for Marquee events focused on execution overview and optimization

  • Department support with reservations, hotel bookings and travel coordination for team and athletes

  • Support the Sponsorship & Partnership Specialist with the delivery of on-site activations as it relates to partnership integration, content creation and digital platforms

  • Flexibility to act as a utility player, ready to step in with an open mind to support program execution whether that is in Product Marketing, Motorsport series and corporate Brand Marketing programs.

  • Research & report on Marketing department strategic initiatives- new events, sponsorships, areas of sales growth, etc.

  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others

  • Act as department administration and assist on day-to-day tasks as required

  • Assist with overall Product Marketing’s budget, PO & invoicing platform

  • Experience with events and/or tradeshow planning and execution

  • Knowledge of budgeting, invoicing processes

  • Organization- keeping your team informed, adhering to timelines, budgets, and appointments as well as keeping important documents and information organized

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Ability to work as part of a team or independently

  • Ability to work long hours with minimal supervision

  • Ability to problem solving and think ahead

  • Light lifting required

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to Travel 50%+ primarily on weekends

  • Knowledge of car culture & motorsports is preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience in Marketing (related industry preferred), event management and/or motorsports industry relevant experience
