Fund Accountant

San Francisco (Hybrid) 2 days in the office

The Company

Our client is a private equity firm investing across the private asset classes, including buyout, growth equity, venture capital, real estate and credit in the U.S, Europe and Asia.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the cash management process as primary job objective

• Track capital call notices and distribution notices as well as determine if there is sufficient cash in the bank to fund the notices

• Process cash wire transactions for all funds including posting journal entries related to the funds in EFront Accounting system

• Perform daily cash reconciliations and monthly bank reconciliations for assigned funds

• Assist with other special projects as assigned

  Requirements

Keys:

• 1-3 years of accounting experience (open to candidates from different backgrounds like GL accountants, Auditors, Fund or Tax accounting)

• Sound understanding of accounting and ability to learn new concepts in “Fund Accounting”

• Collaborative, action-oriented with good communication skills

  Plan to Placement

• 1st Round: An hour Zoom meeting with the controller and treasury manager (30min each).

• 2nd Round: Basic Accounting principle test

• 3rd Round: in-person meeting with some team members and potentially the CFO
