Oracle Product Manager/Strategy in San Jose, California
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

Brief Posting Description & Requirements
This posting is for a Product Manager position, where the Product Manager acts as the central resource and driving force for the requirements, definition, test and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to GA to EOL. The Product manager will be responsible for Oracle’s Orchestration, Activation, Inventory and Automation, product suite. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Communications Networks Engineering and Operations, experience developing Orchestration, Intelligent Automation and Dynamic Inventory product suites, and a strong track record running sustaining development.
*Specific Responsibilities: *
Lead product strategy and technology planning activities to align product priorities to business goals and build out product roadmaps.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.
Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products, services & processes.
Analyze, define & incorporate external & internal customer requirements to enhance existing products and also help build new products
Work with product Engineering teams to review integration and regression test plans created by QA
Collaborate with the appropriate departments to develop and maintain a technology plan that supports organizational needs.
Incorporate newly incubated technologies into the stack and build a technology vision and roadmap.
Anticipate major market and technology changes to ensure company leadership in the competitive landscape.
Maintain a culture of continuous improvement
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
10 years progressively increasing product management responsibilities.
Experience delivering cloud enterprise software.
Strong telecommunications knowledge.
Created successful multi-product solutions that address customer business needs.
Excellent OSS domain knowledge, particularly in Order Management, Service & Network Orchestration, network planning and network & service inventory management
Strong BSS knowledge and how BSS and OSS must work seamlessly to achieve customer solutions.
Ability to work with customers, sales, support, product management, partners and in a virtual team.
Exceptional messaging skills in both written/oral/presentation communication skills.
Experience of agile/lean product development principles.
Bachelors’ degree is required. Advanced degree is a positive.
