The Team – Global Marketing Operations Transformation & Enablement:

Historically, all Regions (NA, EMEA, APAC) have run separate Marketing functions and have had different operational set ups. As part of the Global Marketing transformation program, all regional teams have been consolidated in to one and the new Global Marketing Operations Transformation & Enablement team has been established. The Global Marketing Ops Transformation & Enablement team are tasked with designing and driving this bold new operating model, establishing a blueprint for the future where people, process and technology come together as one. Creating new ways of working that elevate our ability to deliver our marketing plans and innovate continuously. The team are very well regarded, highly skilled and innovative with over 220 full time and agency support staff building our organization structure, process and technology for change. For you to succeed on this team it is important for you to be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, to continuously learn and have a curious mindset, to understand and help drive a DevOps Culture, to be proactive, collaborative and to have a sense of humour (optional).

Location: San Jose, London, Bangalore

Travel: Main destinations will include San Jose (Global HQ) & Global Hubs: New York, London, Singapore.

What will your week look like?

You are participating in backlog refinement, Sprint planning and show & tells to keep aligned with priorities of work. You are getting work done through user stories but continue to challenge yourself for finishing features vs just individual user stories. You love the challenge of you build it, you use it, you support it. To support you are part of rotation in team to be point of contact for SRE teams. Your strong Agile experience with deep knowledge of Continuous Deployment is making team more and more productive.

Skills to be used: Engineering and Development, UML

What will your quarter look like?

You are forming and participating in communities of excellence which are informal groups with common development technology interest. With quarterly cadence you are consolidating and refactoring features which were delivered in the quarter with focus on user and developer experienc trumping functionality. You are building good understanding and relationships with business users and forming a great metal model of how your work delivers value. Your coding skills are exemplary.

Skills to be used: Coding best practices, Architecture patterns. Communication and soft skills. Design concepts like Responsive Design, Progressive Enhancements etc.

What will your year look like?

You are grooming everyone around you and distributing your specialist knowledge and experience. You are rotating your attention around all the key areas for development – CX, Design, Testing, Deployment and features. You are owning subdomain(s) and have a sense of responsibility toward quality of that subdomain. Your team-oriented personality is contributing massively in making team a high performing team. You are working with architects in testing and bringing new emerging technology into the ecosystem while maintaining governance.

Skills to be used: Collaboration, Team spirit, Continuous learning.

Education & Experience required:

  • Technology degree Education and Technology certifications.

  • Multiple year, Software engineering experience in agile environments and DevOps culture.

  • Experience of working in Product and Platform thinking teams.

  • Essential experience in managing multiple small/medium workstreams in parallel.

  • Digital marketing experiences a big plus
