The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has a great opportunity for an AVP of Workplace Experience and Business Operations. In this role, you are responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the Workplace Experience and Law Enforcement Support Office teams including vendor and financial acumen and strategies for culinary services, operational planning and oversight for mail and print services, and production and technology services in support of other business lines’ meeting and events. Provides direct oversight of all business functions residing with the WE+LE Support Office including budget and long-term capital plans, procurement, strategic planning tracking, and technology management.

Top Responsibilities:

  • Direct planning for operational expense budgets and long-term capital plans, including priority setting and refreshing multi-year plan for investments and capital replacement of existing assets to ensure alignment with strategic needs of the Group and Bank.

  • Direct the review of processes, programs, policies and funding to identify, test and implement solutions including technology and automation that improve and simplify work processes for customers and staff resulting in greater strategic value to the Bank and constituents.

  • Oversee the designing and planning of the Group’s communication strategy including key meetings and communication tools to communicate strategy, achievements, outcomes and goals of the System, Bank and Group.

  • Oversee the compilation, tracking and planning for equipment and furniture assets in the Workplace Experience portfolio ensuring appropriate refresh and replacement in alignment with end of useful life.

  • Identify, articulate and execute financial culinary strategy to ensure alignment with FRAM guidance and IRS compliance while leveraging activities to drive a best-in-class cafeteria experience.

  • Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the Workplace Experience and Support Office teams to ensure use of up-to-date practices and protocols within an environment and culture that expects and builds supportive, respectful and trusting team members.

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the Workplace Experience and Support Office structure, team, and performance to ensure continuous improvement, efficiency and intended impact.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Monitors for potential problems and points of friction across multiple teams and business lines, and proactively pursues resolution.

  • Act as a change agent for the team promoting thought leadership, agility, innovation and best practices leading to an enhanced customer experience.

  • Implement strategies and initiatives, supporting the mission and goals of the Bank.

  • Develop, recommend, and oversee implementation of long-range plans and strategies for Group.

  • Drive sustainability efforts that lesson the impact of the Bank on the environment.

  • Promote and support continuous development and growth of talent in the team and Group.

  • Responsible for management of the District’s food service contract ensuring vendor meet established terms and conditions related to quality, budget and service.

  • Leads or participates in District or System groups

  • Coordinate with management and leadership teams to foster exchange of ideas, provide cross-team development opportunities, and implement solutions to maximize efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, in Finance, Business or applicable field of study

  • Typically has 12+ years of relevant experience; requires 8+ years of progressive people and business management experience; minimum of 5+ years leading major projects/initiatives

  • Experience in managing a support office or function including overseeing business line communications and financial management (i.e., contract management, budget, financial expenditures) required.

  • Experience working in a compliance-oriented environment or managing technology and automation function beneficial.

  • Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships, and influence individuals at all levels in the organization.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Excellent leadership and organizational abilities

  • Effective, versatile, and action-oriented

Base Salary Range: Min: $189,00 - Mid: $249,000 - Max: $307,000 (Location: San Francisco)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
