ServiceNow’s training and certification programs have exploded in recent years. Our global users are a key part of customer success and keeping them engaged and informed is critical to having a strong, skilled ecosystem. As Communication Specialist for the Training and Certification organization (TACO), you will be responsible for ensuring that our 200,000+ users are up-to-date on our latest offerings, events, and releases.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing on external communications to our Now Learning users. Working directly with the Manager of Release Management as well as other members of the TACO leadership team, you will create and manage external communications relevant to customer- and partner-facing TACO releases, updates, opportunities, and events. You will be responsible for ensuring messaging aligns with key business strategies and work closely with management teams to shape TACO’s image and values, as well as identifying the appropriate methods to communicate them to customers and partners. As the TACO Communications Specialist, you will:
Create and manage the execution of a strong communication plan as needed for all major releases to in order to meet business objectives and desired outcomes.
Develop and execute an overall communications strategy for new products, launches, events and promotions.
Create and execute on an appropriate communication plan to keep engagement and interest high with our existing users.
Collaborate with ServiceNow’s social media team to execute on a TACO social media strategy.
Develop and maintain the fiscal year editorial calendar/plan inclusive of all types of communications and audiences.
Work closely with marketing team to ensure alignment of messages and coordination of media activities.
Evaluate the effectiveness of communication plans and strategies in achieving their stated objectives, including impact and ROI.
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
2-3 years’ experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field
2+ years project management experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, strategic communications, or equivalent
Ability to create clear, concise communications for key audiences, drawing upon business and communication expertise.
Select writing style and communication method best suited for desired target audiences and aligned to business goals and key stakeholders.
Experience in collaborating with stakeholders to develop effective change management and external facing awareness-based communications.
Demonstrated experience with all types of social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships. Able to remain professional under pressure and tight deadlines.
Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong, versatile copywriting skills
Desire to take full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
Good verbal presentation, group dynamic, and facilitation skills
Proactive approach in resolving problems and issues
Experience in the area of training and delivery
Knowledge of ServiceNow
Experience with SaaS products
