National University Director, Adjunct Faculty Services in San Diego, California
With strategic leadership, administer the Human Resources services associated with Adjunct Faculty staff within the National University (NU) and its affiliates. Direct the recruitment, hiring, contracting, compensation and performance evaluation services for Adjunct Faculty. Manage handbook policies, procedures and guidelines, as well as, collaborate with senior leadership in the development and revision of standards. Develop and implement guidelines ensuring compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations, as well as, University policies and procedures. Direct and facilitate employment data collection and reporting for compliance and/or analytical purposes with the Office of the Provost, Compliance Department and support the process improvements of automation to enhance transparency and accuracy of employment information. Create a highly engaged culture and manage performance standards to build a world-class adjunct faculty pool. Foster and employ excellence in communication with Academic Program Directors, College Deans, Academic Service and Academic Operations.
Provides day-to-day leadership to staff including but not limited to recruiting, selecting, orienting, coaching, mentoring, training and disciplining employees and developing personal growth opportunities.
Directs, oversees and approves the recruitment, hiring, contracting, employment conditions, compensation, performance reviews of Adjunct Faculty with National University.
Establishes and implements short-and long-range goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures; studies and evaluates operational success and results for continuous improvement of processes related to Adjunct Faculty employment services.
Sustains organizational structure and oversees the management of staff, including work allocation, training, promotions, enforcement of internal procedures and controls and problem resolutions; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
Acts as central point of contact for the annual Adjunct Faculty salary review process for NU; guides and supports NU components in the area of Adjunct Faculty employment, compensation, budgeting, and resource management and problem resolution.
Serves as primary point of contact for external organizations and constituencies with respect to issues related to Adjunct Faculty and employment and administrative policies and practices.
Liaises with University planning and policy making committees; may serve on search committees for senior level Adjunct Faculty and/or administrative leadership positions.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Hire, train and develop up to 10+ staff members
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Educational Leadership, Organizational Leadership or similar discipline
Ten (10) years? relevant experience in recruiting, selecting, hiring and staffing; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Familiarity and passion about online learning and the role of the adjunct Adjunct Faculty.
Solid knowledge of contemporary principles of human resources management, public personnel practices and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), including recruitment sourcing from a variety of platforms. Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills gained within a complex, fast-paced environment.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook as well as software programs for business processes or ability to learn Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individual of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.
Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team of diverse cultures, while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
