Scripps Health Care Team Assistant - Endoscopy in San Diego, California
This is a full-time, benefits eligible position (80 hours every 2 weeks), working 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday at our Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla.
The Care Team Assistant works in collaboration with other care team members to:
- Assure safe and optimal patient care
- Supports the unit with a variety of clerical, patient logistic, equipment/supply, charge reconciliation, and patient service duties
- Assists with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician
- Assists patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and maintains a safe, organized environment
Required Certification/Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English
Excellent interpersonal skills* *Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
Multiple patient care skills preferred
- Prefer one-year experience in health care related field, sterile processing, patient transport or equivalent responsibilities
- Currently enrolled in or completion of X-Ray Technician program
