What will you be doing?
Job Description
The Facilities Coordinator will maintain and oversee company’s grounds, buildings and equipment. Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance. This person will perform a variety of duties including but not limited to regular general maintenance, welding and repairing tasks at the interior and/or exterior of the facility.
Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, including offices, production floor, parking lots and outdoor spaces.
• Assigning cleaning and maintenance duties to contractors.
• Performing regular maintenance on facilities making necessary repairs.
• Inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations and coordinate renovations and updates.
• Schedules routine inspections and emergency repairs with external vendors.
• Managing day-to-day facility operations.
• Preparing facility for changing weather conditions.
• Supervise 2 janitorial contractors.
• Manage vendor contracts and services for facilities and Maintenance service providers.
• Always ensures cleanliness of facility. General repairs.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years’ experience as a facilities manager/handyman.
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
• Basic math skills and good communication skills.
• Ability to communicate and follow instructions.
• Ability to manage vendors and contractors effectively.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Work is considered medium physical work in a production setting, requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work indoors/outdoors with minimum exposure to dust.
Must be able to:
• Regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to handle objects and reach with hands and arms.
• Physically able to operate power/hand tools for extended periods of time.
• Ability to stand for long lengths of time and capable of working with machinery or moving heavy equipment.
• Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine.
