Paychex Account Executive - HR Solutions in San Antonio, Texas


Selling Company's products and services by developing new clients within assigned national accounts and increasing the client base to increase profits in the sale of Human Resource Services Sales Organization.


  • Leverage the Go-to-Market Sales Strategy (both inside and outside the client base) to identify customers’ needs and present the Paychex solution to key stakeholders and decision makers to increase revenue and market share. Presentations are primarily virtual, but this role will have occasional travel requirements to attend industry trade shows, conferences relevant to assigned brands and verticals, or to client account headquarters.

  • Develop knowledge and expertise in specific accounts, brands, and industries to further Paychex market share in those categories.

  • Scheduling appointments with potential and current referral sources to secure referrals to end users.

  • Prospecting for new clients and new referral sources within specified national accounts for utilizing the telephone, direct mail, seminars, current client calls, or other local market programs directed by Sales Management.

  • Analyzes the customer needs and interests, determines which products are appropriate and referring to appropriate party when necessary.

  • Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints.

  • Completing and submitting accurate new business paperwork, expense reports, and weekly activity reports by agreed upon dates set by Sales management.

  • Projecting a positive image in representing the Corporateion to clients and the community.

  • Achieve technical, competitive and sales skills knowledge. Competency is measured by the successful attainment of objectives and performance within the HR Solutions and PEO Sales.

  • May be required to travel occasionally for purposes of attending Conference, training sessions, and/or area Zone meetings.

  • Attend partner meetings to educate on HR Solutions and PEO clients through onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition onto the HR Solutions or PEO Service.

  • Expediting the resolution of client problems or complaints to facilitate a positive onboarding experience.

  • Stay engaged with HR Solutions and PEO clients through onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition onto the HR Solutions or PEO Service.


  • H.S. Diploma - Required

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

  • 2 years of experience in Relevant sales experience.


In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay for this position is $26.44 hourly + bonus. Please keep in mind that this is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
