Community Housing Services, Inc Maintenance Technician in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Great company hiring a highly motivated, energetic maintenance technician to join our team!  We are an established Property Management business and offer competitive salaries and benefits. This position must maintain and preserve the high standard of living in a high-rise, Senior Living, Apartment Bldg. with a total of 99 units in Salt Lake City, Utah.  You will perform a variety of tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, preventative maintenance, etc.  A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail.  The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.  The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition. Full time position, 40 hrs. per week with benefits available.  Must have valid driver license with good driving record.  Required to pass drug test, background and MVR check.  

Essential qualifications:

Must possess integrity, positive attitude and be self directed.  Must be able to interact professionally with residents, employees, guests and vendors.  Must own your own tools and be able to successfully handle conflicts, defuse situations, accept constructive reviews and be accountable for success of your team.  Must be able to lift 50 lbs and ability to work in moderate to heavy physical and environmental conditions both inside and outside.  May be required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, reach, stand or bend.  Tasks may require repetitive motion and eye/hand/foot coordination, respond to inquiries from residents, employees, guest, vendors.

Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshoot and repair building equipment, survey buildings daily for safety hazards, repairs needed and improvements.  Maintain heating and plumbing systems.  Perform a variety of repairs, preventative maintenance, general upkeep procedures and maintain maintenance records.

Qualifications:

Property management experience, working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting and patching.  Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.  Must have problem solving skills, budget management, organizations kills and ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, troubleshoot repairs and manage priorities and deadlines.  Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), and knowledge of of Fair Housing regulations would be a plus.
