Eligible for excellent hiring incentives, including a Start Bonus and Relocation Assistance (for hires relocating from greater than 100 miles). To qualify for the bonus candidates must not have been employed by Salem Health in the last 6 months. Your Role With Us:

As a Medical Assistant with Salem Health, you will call upon your excellent interpersonal skills, clinical knowledge and critical thinking abilities to identify the nature and urgency of our patient’s healthcare needs.

Core Functions:

  • Obtain a brief history on all patients according to departmental standards.

  • Assess and document patient’s vital signs and other pertinent information upon admission.

  • Accurately document patient visits, telephone calls, and refill requests.

  • Ensure adequate discharge instructions are given and that patients are referred for future care appropriately

Background/Expertise:

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting program or Graduated from an accredited LPN program required

  • Minimum of one (1) year directly transferable experience strongly preferred

  • One (1) year of phlebotomy experience strongly preferred

  • National certification from NCCT, AMT, or AAMA required or LPN Licensure through OSBN Required

  • American Heart BLS certification within 90 days of hire
